Tania Re PhD

Gestalt psychotherapist, clinical and community psychologist, Naturopathic Doctor, she works both in Italy and Switzerland. She obtained a PhD from the Salesian University of Rome with a thesis on behavioral addictions and a PhD in Anthropology from the University of Extremadura in Spain.

 

She specialized in Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy (PAP) at the CIIS (California Institute of Integral Studies) in San Francisco, in Sports Psychology in Turin, in Aviation Psychology with a PPL (private pilot license) in Rome (ITAPA) and in Counseling at the Faculty of Medicine.

 

She was a student of Professor Benson of the "Mind-Body Institute" in Boston where she learned mind-body techniques, hypnosis and visualization techniques for accompanying people suffering from trauma, chronic and oncological pathologies.

 

Over the years she has also specialized in Health Anthropology and Ethnomedicine which she teaches at University Courses and Master degrees. She is the scientific coordinator of the specialization course "End of life: States of consciousness, ancient traditions and new therapies" at the University of Pisa where she teaches at the University Master's in "Neuroscience, Mindfulness and Contemplative Practices" and at the Summer School "Consciousness and Cognition" .

 

She is among the founders of the UNESCO Chairs “Health, Anthropology, Biosphere and Care systems” at the University of Genoa, “Plantae medicinales mediterraneae - Plants for Health in the Mediterranean Tradition” at the University of Salerno and “Plantas Medicinales” at the University of Havana in Cuba.

 

She currently collaborates with the Tuscany Regional Center for Phytotherapy (CERFIT), with the Italian Medicinal Mushroom Society (SIFM), with the Gestalt Therapy Study Center (CSTG), with the VID Art and Science of Bologna and with the LIMMIT Laboratory in Portugal.

 

Her field research is carried out in South America in indigenous communities studying traditional medicines and healing rituals. You have always been interested in understanding the systems coming from ancient traditions that connect mind and body with a transdisciplinary perspective.

 

In recent years she has focused her research interests on Non-Ordinary States of Consciousness and on the study of "Master Plants" in collaboration with Universities and Research Centers in Europe, the United States and South America.

 

In Italy she promotes the therapeutic use of psychoactive substances in collaboration with the Luca Coscioni Association of which she is a Councilor; in the European context she is part of the Scientific Committee of the Psyres Foundation in Prague for the clinical diffusion of psychedelics.
